Inspiring Young Performers in Woodmansterne

Junior WODS is the youth section of the Woodmansterne Operatic & Dramatic Society – a vibrant, welcoming group for young people who love performing, whether they’re born naturals or just finding their feet.

We believe that theatre is one of the best things a young person can do. It builds confidence, teaches teamwork, fires the imagination and, most importantly, it’s tremendous fun. Every year our junior members work towards a full production, performing on a real stage in front of a real audience.

Junior WODS is open to young people aged 4 – 16. No experience is necessary – just enthusiasm and a love of getting involved!

What Junior WODS Involves

Regular Rehearsals

We meet on Tuesday evenings at St Peter’s Church Hall. Sessions cover singing, acting and movement — all in a fun, supportive environment.

A Real Production

Each year Junior WODS puts on a full production – a proper show with costumes, sets and an audience to perform to. For many of our members it’s a highlight of the year.

Friends for Life

Junior WODS is a welcoming, friendly group. Many of our junior members go on to join the main society – and the friendships made here tend to last a very long time.
